Anglo-Swedish acoustic band We Ghosts blend elements of jazz, soul, blues and folk in a refreshing and original way. Fronted by young Swedish singing marvel Jenny Jonasson, English guitarist John Woodall and featuring the energetic bass playing of Toni Baloni. We Ghosts play hundreds of gigs a year and make for a splendid live show worthy of any stage their atmospheric, eerie and inventive recordings have been used in soundtracks as well having received frequent airplay and critical acclaim.
We Ghosts formed in 2004 when Swedish singer J.J.Woodall met English guitarist/songwriter/vocalist John Christopher at a recording session in Gothenburg, Sweden. They found that the blend of their voices and guitars both echoed with classic reverberations of Simon and Garfunkel, Crosby Stills and Nash, etc, but also brought something contemporary and unique to the mix. Over the next year or two they swiftly established themselves as one of the most interesting and entertaining acts in Scandinavia where they continue to mesmerize audiences. In 2007 their first album “Paranormal Activity” was released both in Sweden and the USA where it gathered rave reviews and was followed by “Things That Go Bump In The Night” in 2009. With the release of their most recent album “Almost Alone” (2012) the pair have concentrated more on playing all over the U.K. and were featured on the prestigious BBC Introducing radio show last April. They have to be heard to be believed!
This is gaurenteed to be a brilliant evening.
