The Crooked Billet can accommodate approximately 70 guests and may be booked out exclusively. We are also able to connect a marquee to the pub and accommodate up to 300 guests.

There is a private dining room, which at a squeeze accommodates 50 guests. This room is ideal for business functions, birthdays, and luncheon meetings, Christmas parties etc.

The private dining room is also ideal for small groups, when looking for somewhere for a drinks reception prior to eating.

The Crooked Billet can be booked exclusively for small sized wedding receptions. You would have sufficient space for around 50 guests to enjoy reception drinks and nibbles in our two smaller cosy reception rooms, before sitting together in our private dining room for dinner. If a buffet service is required, up to 70 guests can be accommodated at the pub.

A special wedding menu offering your guests a choice of starters, mains and desserts can be offered.

Wedding buffets often conjure up images of uninspiring quiche and coleslaw menus; The Crooked Billet can better this!

A variety of different 'food stalls' can be set up throughout the whole building: for example an oyster bar, candy floss stall, Thai wok cooking in the restaurant, a British food table (rare roast beef, bangers and mash, glazed gammon, British cheeses etc.), a salad bar with vegetarian specialities, or other themed stalls.

Of course if you choose, we are able to offer the more traditional buffet table; but with really quality quiche and coleslaw and lots of other fabulous goodies to impress your guests.

For larger functions and weddings, why not consider a marquee - which we can connect to The Crooked Billet. With 5 acres of unspoilt country pasture, we have sufficient parking and space for any size marquee.

Any number of guests can be catered for: either buffet style or with a served luncheon/dinner.

Even for numbers in excess of 200, Paul Clerehugh can offer your guests a choice of starter, main and dessert options. Our traditional pole marquees are of the best quality in spotless white canvas. We can offer a range of lining colours and finishes.

Marquees are erected on a solid wooden floor, and carpeted with clean sisal; we can offer a range of furniture styles and linen colours. Our preference is to design your marquee specifically around your own tastes and requirements.

We do not have a wedding brochure, as we undertake to cater for only a limited number of receptions each year. We make each reception magical, different, and indeed unique.
Some venues specialise in "doing weddings", often catering for several wedding functions each day. We aim to do exactly the opposite and make your special day a day to remember.
