Released November 1963 on Verve Records, Oscar Peterson on piano, Ray Brown on double bass & Ed Thigpen on drums. Selling over 2 billion copies worldwide, it became the R&B/blues/jazz fusion best seller of all time. Pressed & distributed to this day. Peterson died in December 2023 at home in Mississauga, Ontario.
On Tuesday 10th November, celebrating the album - Craig Milverton on piano, Andy Crowdy on double bass & Charlie Stratford on drums - they perform Night Train in it’s entirety along with Peterson classics including C Jam Blues, Tenderly, Blues Etude, Caravan, I’m Getting Sentimental, How High The Moon & more.
